I studied my undergraduate degree in Physical Anthropology at Universidad de Chile. Then, I obtained my Masters and Doctorate degree in Archaeological Science at the University of Oxford. I am currently a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Universidad de Antofagasta, with a FONDECYT Postdoc Project. I have been awarded with a National Geographic Early Research Grant. I am co-investigator of two FONDECYT Regular projects. My research focuses mainly on the application of stable isotope analysis for studying archaeological human groups from northern and south-central Chile, as well as agro-pastoral practices in the Atacama Desert. I have recently started to collaborate with Jimena Torres (UMAG) on the study of modern and archaeological fish from Patagonia.
