Associate researcher

Marine Biologist interested in the Life and reproduction strategies of Antarctic and subantarctic seaweeds. The main researches has been focused in the relation of stress tolerance of early development stages and the bathymetric and latitudinal distribution of species at high latitudes. He is also interested in photoprotective compounds in high latitude algae with the aim of finding alternative sources for their extraction.
Currently I have been examining the physiological and molecular responses of early life cycle stages of Antarctic-Subantarctic disjunct seaweeds exposed to climate change factors.
